It’s often too easy to forget to show your appreciation and gratitude towards your people.

With so much to do and so little time, it makes sense. Even so, failing to show appreciation to your employees can be very detrimental. Happy employees are on average 12 percent more productive than their not-so-happy peers.

With that being said, to help you show some love for your people, we have put together 10 easy ways in which you can boost morale and thank your people for all that they do. Be sure to take time out of your busy schedule to put in effort to manage employee relationships.

1.  Handwritten Letter

Drop a few lines expressing your appreciation for your people. Use examples of times when your people went above and beyond.

2.  Coffee

Pick up extra coffee on your way into work. This is a sure way to show your appreciation and spread some morning motivation.

3.  Internal Communication

If your organization has a formal recognition plan, use it to praise your people for their hard work. If there isn’t a set method in place, send out an email.

4.  Social Post

Give your people or a department a shout out in a social media post for a job well done.

5.  Mention in a Meeting

Take a quick minute during a meeting to recognize your people for their hard work.

6.  Certificate

Print off a certificate of appreciation and put it on a team member’s desk.

7.  Lunch

Escape from the office for a team lunch or bring lunch into the office.

8.  Bring in Treats

Show your appreciation for your people with cookies, cupcakes, or any other favorite office treat.

9.  Sticky Note Messages

Leave short messages on sticky notes thanking your people for all that they do.
