Why has the company been sold?

Unicorn HRO’s owner, Frank Diassi since 1982 has now entered his 90’s and he decided it was time to pass the torch. Frank’s directive as this search started was to find a company with similar qualities as Unicorn HRO, a company that uses their own state of the art technology platform and has high touch quality service. We are very pleased that the People Guru organization and their investors see the value in Unicorn HRO and the people who work here. The acquisition is an important and positive steps towards their goal of growing their company.

Will the company still be known as Unicorn HRO?

Close. The Unicorn HRO organization will be renamed Unicorn HCM for Human Capital Management as a demonstration of the continuity of what you ask us to do for you.

Is my existing contract still valid?

Yes, there are no changes to your contract.

Is my price being increased?

No, the pricing agreed to in our contract remains in place.

What is happening to the iCON HRIS product?

Our new owners will continue to support the iCON product so you can expect our team to support you and the product with regulatory and other system changes. Expect patches / updates – just like we’ve pushed to our clients over the past years. But also look forward to other enhancements that will be the outcome of the new Organizations teams working together to deliver continuing product enhancements to you!

What is happening to the Workforce Management product?

Nothing changes. Our WFM product and support will continue to be available for existing customers and as an add on offering for all customers.

What about Hirebridge?
Same as WFM, nothing changes. We will continue to work with and coordinate with Hirebridge on providing you with this quality Applicant Tracking Solution.

What is happening to the AS400 products and OPEN4 ?
The customer support for these legacy products continues in place but as has been the case customers who continue to use these applications can expect increasing maintenance costs as the client base declines. But there is better news. If you looked at the ICON HRIS and our payroll / tax / benefits services in the past they are still available to you PLUS we can also now make available to you the People Guru application and services. Maybe it’s a better fit? You now have a choice.

Will I still be working with the same support persons as I have in the past?

The Unicorn HCM team will continue to operate the business and serve the Company’s customers as per usual With this merger, there has been a small reduction in staff. Some customers will now have a different primary point of contact, but this will be a member of the same team that has always supported you.

For the time being, the unicornhro.com email domain is still in use Once our staff has new email addresses, this will be communicated, and the unicornhro.com emails will be forwarded. All phone numbers remain the same

I’m in the middle of implementation – what happens to my account?

Nothing changes. The iCON implementation will be completed – as defined by your project plan.

My company has recently contracted for custom modifications, what should I expect?

Nothing changes. Any iCON projects that are currently underway will be completed.

Will the new UHRO HCM allow my organization to have new custom modifications if needed?
The new UHRO HCM Team will continue business as usual – if you need a custom modification, reach out to your iCON Project Manager.

Does the People Guru product provide a full product – HR, PR, Recruiting, Performance, Comp & Benefits? Yes The custom modifications that we have in place in iCON are likely very specific to our organization. Will these custom modifications move to the People Guru product?

Yes and no. We have taken a very close look at all custom modifications. Some of these are covered by the People Guru application already in their baseline. For those that are truly unique we are examining how a conversion plan would work. Our ultimate goal is continuing to meet your needs.

We implemented iCON many years ago, and we continue to work with our Implementation Leader. Will we continue to have access to our iCON Resource?

Our company may acquire a new company in the near future, I want to implement this new company in my iCON environment, will this be allowed?
